Article IV. - Membership

• Membership in the Society shall be open to individuals interested in the objectives of the Society. There shall be three classes of membership: (a) regular (designated Charter memberships during the first year, (b) honorary and (c) student.



• Regular member shall be anyone interested in the Society.



• Honorary members shall be individuals who are elected by two-thirds of the Executive Committee upon recommendation of the awards committee for meritorious service to weed science and/or the Society. Members of the Awards Committee and members of the Executive Committee are not eligible for Honorary memberships until their term of office has expired.



• Student members shall be college or university students enrolled in Weed Science and related fields of study. Their status as students shall be verified by their academic advisor.



• Dues for Regular and Student members shall be determined by the Executive Committee.



• Members shall be automatically suspended for non-payment of dues. Reinstatement may be made upon full payment of dues.
